Call for applications | Performing Arts - Company / artist

In this call for applications, funding can be requested to attend individually selected events (maximum of two events). Priorities must be specified if multiple events are named.

This application form is addressed to Target Group A: (representatives of) companies/artists who are already established in Germany and have a certain standing in the country or are established abroad and are now producing and based in Germany.

Note: Before submitting your application, we ask you to read through the call for applications and FAQs to avoid any misunderstandings and to clarify any questions you may have.

Application

The following information must be submitted for the performing arts field:

  • Name, place and date of the event(s) to be attended. 
    A maximum of two events can be listed per application. If more than one event is named, please sort by priority (most important first, then descending). 
  • Name and function of the person(s) travelling.
  • A cost calculation that takes into account, among other things, the (foreign) per diem and accommodation allowances of the destination country according to the German Travel Expenses Act (Bundesreisekostengesetz). Examples for the calculation of a trip can be found here.
  • ONE letter of motivation for attending the event(s), max. 3,000 characters incl. spaces.

Maximum funding per event

  • 700.00 euros (events in Germany)
  • 1,100.00 euros (events in Europe (geographically))
  • 2,000.00 euros (events outside Europe (geographically))

I hereby apply for an additional one-off expense allowance of 400.00 euros per event.

Proof

A prerequisite for the application is that the company/artist has in the last four years (from January 2019):

  • premiered or planned to premiere a production (digitally)
    Scan of the organiser's or festival programme or a screenshot of the organiser's website (month and year must be visible!)
  • received public funding (project funding or scholarship funding or residency funding etc.).
    Scan of a significant part of the funding notification or confirmation from the funding body or similar.

In certain circumstances, the following must be submitted additionally:

  • If applicable, proof of place of business in Germany (only necessary when submitting proof of funding from abroad)
    Scan of the business registration or registration of the self-employed activity, etc.
  • If applicable, the company's/artist's right of representation: freelance representatives must submit a declaration from the company/artist stating that the trip is being made on their behalf.
    A PDF document signed by the company/artist.

When submitting an application, you provide us with personal data (name, date of birth, telephone number, e-mail address, bank details, identity card number, sex, address, photographs of you, etc.) which will be processed by us or third parties in accordance with Article 6 b GDPR and which is required for processing of and the decision regarding your application and, if your application is approved, for the implementation of the funding process.

In the event that we grant your request and you receive funding, we will store your data permanently.
