Since 2019, Kreativ-Transfer has been supporting stakeholders in the fields of the performing arts, visual arts and games in establishing and expanding their international networks to improve their visibility on the international market. The programme supports the necessary international marketing and networking measures as well as the corresponding training and professionalisation of the stakeholders.
In particular, Kreativ-Transfer supports participation in international fairs and festivals, enabling artists, creatives and their representatives to present their work, make new contacts and find co-producers and clients.
In addition, the programme supports strategic international marketing, networking and professionalisation projects.
By offering workshops, networking meetings and informal get-togethers, Kreativ-Transfer provides opportunities for knowledge transfer and exchange of experiences.
The Kreativ-Transfer initiative will enter its third round in June 2023. Following Kreativ-Transfer I and II (which received 490,000 euros and 790,000 euros respectively in funding), Kreativ-Transfer III will be allocated funding of 1.4 million euros by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media (BKM).This increase marks another significant strengthening of the programme!
The Kreativ-Transfer programme is supported by Dachverband Tanz Deutschland e.V. (DTD). In implementing the programme, the DTD cooperates with the Bundesverband Freie Darstellende Künste e.V. (BFDK), the Bundesverband Zeitgenössischer Zirkus e.V. (BUZZ), the Bundesverband Deutscher Galerien und Kunsthändler e.V. (BVDG), the Internationalen Gesellschaft der Bildenden Künste e.V. (IGBK), the game – Verband der deutschen Games-Branche e.V. and transmissions GmbH.
Further information on the continuation of the programme can be found in the press release (only in German).
The evaluations provide information on the structure and organisation of the programme as well as information on funding rounds, application figures and funding amounts, etc.
Kreativ-Transfer has developed steadily since its launch in 2019.
It has become clear that the programme can react to different situations with flexible solutions and thus respond to the needs of grantees.
This is evident not only in the strengthening of the programme by the Federal Commissioner for Culture and the Media (BKM), but also in various evaluations and factual reports by grantees, experts and representatives of participating partner institutions.
Furthermore, the evaluations provide clear suggestions and goals for the future in order to promote the continuous development of the programme.
"The high relevance and effectiveness of the individual measures were also clearly visible: the programme was able to consistently meet or exceed the expectations of the grantees, which were primarily aimed at providing uncomplicated financial support, opportunities for (also interdisciplinary) exchange and networking as well as knowledge transfer. At the same time, it became apparent that the non-material recognition of their work is also important to the grantees and that they generally feel valued by the programme. In addition, the funding programme has succeeded in addressing and networking actors in different positions and at different points in their careers: For example, the measures have supported both actors who have little or no practice and experience with the international market and those who are already more established."
