With the InfoPlus initiative, the Dachverband Tanz Deutschland (DTD) has been supporting the exchange and networking between independent producers, agents, managers and production offices since 2012.
The DTD invites independent producers, agents, managers and production offices to so-called “InfoPlus producers` meetings” at irregular intervals - until 2019 several times a year in different cities in Germany.
Various initiatives were developed in these meetings, including the Kreativ-Transfer funding programme.
Since 2019, the DTD has focused on international, particularly European, networking and on the international exchange of expertise, especially as part of Kreativ-Transfer:
The following topics are part of the producers` meetings and programmes: The self-image, role and position of independent producers, agents and managers, the working relationship between producers and artists, fee calculation and working conditions, funding for producers and production offices, the expansion of international networking and the international transfer of know-how, etc.
The InfoPlus meetings are aimed at all freelance producers / managers / agents / representatives of production offices in the performing arts who (want to) work professionally as such - up-and-coming producers are just as welcome as established colleagues working in the field.
Meetings, workshops, international meetings can be found on the website of the Dachverband Tanz Deutschland.
In collaboration with the French producers' network LAPAS, the DTD has been working since the end of 2020 on the initiative to establish an international producers' network - PAMPA.
PAMPA (Producers, Agents, Managers Performing Arts) is a community and an open space for new and experienced producers, agents, managers and representatives of similar fields of work working inter- and transnationally, based in Europe.
PAMPA aims to strengthen the visibility, collaboration and working conditions of producers through exchange, research and advocacy.
PAMPA aims to develop collaborative initiatives that enable the exchange of skills, the development of labour practices and the creation of alternative ways of working. The international exchange should help to create greater visibility for the labour sector and the associated diversity of tasks.
By sharing knowledge about international conditions, contexts and best practices, the desire is to take action at national level to improve the working conditions of people working in production and to enable mutual empowerment.
The network's mission is to promote narratives that support the recognition of the profession and ensure ethical, sustainable and inclusive labour practices and working conditions.

The companionship programme: transnational contexts & relations is conceived, hosted and organised by Kreativ-Transfer, a programme of the German Dance Association (Dachverband Tanz Deutschland) and produktionsbande – network performing arts producers.
Producing in a transnational context has so far played a secondary role in the German funding landscape, which is reflected in the little developed or even non-existent mobility and touring funding for some sectors. This situation has been intensified by the effects of the covid pandemic. At the same time, dealing with the consequences of the pandemic and the challenges of the climate crisis opens up different opportunities to think and shape transnational and international relationships in the independent performing arts.
Against this backdrop, Kreativ-Transfer and produktionsbande - netzwerk performing arts producers have developed a companionship programme that focuses on transnational contexts and relationships in production in the independent performing arts - the companionship programme - transnational context & relations.
The programme on the topics of transnational relationships, networking and contexts is aimed specifically at producers in the independent performing arts.
The companionship programme starts on 12.09.2024 and ends on 30.04.2025. It takes place digitally and in English. The aim of the programme is to strengthen the visibility of producers, promote cross-disciplinary work and exchange and simplify the accessibility of producing in a transnational context.
Dachverband Tanz Deutschland and produktionsbande are thus continuing their commitment to expanding structures for producers and strengthening their professionalisation in the long term.
The open call was addressed to professionals who see themselves as producers in the independent performing arts in Germany and would like to align or expand their own work practice transnationally.. In the companionship programme, participants will be brought together as a duo with a companion who is already working transnationally in order to learn from each other.
Detailed information on the programme and the application procedure can be found here.
