The prospection trips serve the purpose of collectively exploring the market with multiple companies/artists/producers and is accompanied by experts. They are designed as a tandem trip, meaning that two people per company/artist or production office should travel together, if possible, with the goal of increasing marketing and networking opportunities. Professionals, preferably with different areas of responsibility within a studio/team, should be enabled to travel together in order to be able to better address different aspects of the work presented during the marketing and networking measures.

Possible tandem constellations include: artistic director and producer/ director and manager/ choreographer and agent/ company manager and distributor / producer and agent. Accordingly, travel cost support can and should be requested for two individuals.

A visit to the Sibiu Performing Arts Market offers a unique opportunity to present yourself on the Eastern European market and to establish contacts with festivals, artists, agencies and public institutions from all over the world. The festival is the third largest of its kind in Europe after Edinburgh and Avignon.

• Participation in SIPAM´s Pitch Project Session: If selected, the Pitch Project Session gives you the opportunity to present your project for a maximum of 10 minutes in front of SIPAM´s professional audience (please note: the submitted projects must be finished and ready to tour). A high-calibre jury decides on participation.

• Meet & Greet with Hunor Horváth, director of the German Department of the National Theater "Radu Stanca" Sibiu
• Reception in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut, planned for 25 June 2025

Time frame:

• 23 - 26 June 2025 (expected travel dates 22 - 27 June 2025, tbc)
• Travel period can be extended individually to attend additional days of the Sibiu International Theater Festival (FITS), 20 - 29 June 2025

Maximum funding amount:

• 1,500.00 euros per person (maximum of two persons)
• Applicants may also request a one-off expense allowance of 400.00 euros per person. The prerequisite is that the work involved in the trip will not be compensated in any other way.
   

Support:

• An expert on site and the Kreativ-Transfer team will accompany the group of artists and producers.
   

The support programme includes:

• an online preparatory meeting,
• on-site informal, intragroup meetings to exchange experiences, tips and contacts,
• joint visits of performances,
• exchange and networking meetings with artists, producers and organisers from the Romanian and international performing arts scene and
• an online follow-up meeting.
