In cases where the programme's grantees are unable to travel due to pandemics, political crises, wars or similar, or if the event is cancelled, the grantees will still receive the funding that has already been approved. 

There are three options for reallocation:

(a) The grant may be used by December 2024 to attend the postponed event or an event the grantee was previously unable to attend.

(b) The grant may be used to attend another event by December 2024.

(c) The grant may be used to fund a strategic international marketing, networking and professionalisation project by December 2024 (in the amount of the funding initially granted but up to a maximum of 2,000 euros).

As soon as it is clear that the event to be attended has been cancelled/cannot take place, but in any case before the original start date of the trip, the Dachverband Tanz Deutschland (DTD)/Project Kreativ-Transfer must be informed accordingly by e-mail: info(at)kreativ-transfer.de
This e-mail must also state the exact reason why the trip cannot take place.

Reasons may include:

• cancellation of the event due to pandemics, political crises, wars or similar
• official travel warning due to pandemics, political crises, wars or similar
• decision not to travel at own discretion (e.g. individual (health) risk; no potential international business partners to be expected at the event due to pandemics, political crises, wars or similar

In addition:

An informal application by e-mail to the DTD/Projekt Kreativ-Transfer is required in the case of options (a) and (b): info(at)kreativ-transfer.de.
The application must be submitted no later than four weeks after the date of the event originally to be attended.
 

Option (c) requires a reallocation request, which must be submitted via an online form no later than four weeks after the date of the event originally to be attended and will be reviewed by the DTD. The DTD will notify grantees as to whether the strategic project can be funded as described no later than four weeks after receipt of the reallocation request.

Important
Costs that have already been incurred as a result of travel reservations and cannot be recovered upon cancellation are not eligible for funding and therefore cannot be claimed. Cancellation costs are eligible if the remaining funding is used to attend another/rescheduled event or for a strategic project as part of a reallocation.

Funding amount
The funding amount is equal to grant originally approved, but only up to the maximum funding amount of the respective destination according to the respective call for proposals (this may mean that the funding amount has to be reduced in the course of the reallocation). Generally speaking, this applies to all three reallocation options mentioned above. HOWEVER: If the grant is reallocated to fund a strategic international marketing, networking and professionalisation project, the amount available is limited to 2,000 euros, even if the funding amount originally approved was higher.
